Because almost all individuals suffering from PTSD have tried talk-therapy with a Psychiatrist, Psychologist or Councilor for many years before looking elsewhere the vast different between Modern Psychology and these therapies is often a welcome change.

Firstly we do not need to talk about the cause of the PTSD at all; if you know the root cause event(s) of the disorder then there is no need to dredge it up and spend a large number of sessions discussing and analysing it, and potentially inducing a stress response while doing so!
Instead we can just refer to it as ‘the event’ or another verbal cue resonates for you.

A huge number of studies have concluded Hypnotherapy as being incredibly effective in reducing symptoms and occurrences of PTSD.

The aim is not to remove the memory of the event, but to change your response to it, enabling it to be part of your past without the need to induce feelings of panic, fear, anger or sadness.
