(Neuro linguistic programming)
NLP
Neuro-linguistic programming is essentially a waking-state version of hypnosis.
It is used to tap in to the language of your unconscious mind, allowing it to be heard and communicating with it in a way that it will understand.

Have you ever had a conversation with someone and realised that you are just not getting through to each other?
That you are both having different conversations, interpreting things differently, with different understandings, emotional responses and outcomes?

Surprisingly this happens to most of us when dealing with our unconscious mind.
We can tell ourselves something and often it is only processed consciously.
* There is no need to be anxious
* Life is good and I should be happy
* I don’t need to eat so much
* I am safe now
The subconcious mind does not recieve, understand or apply the message and continues to apply the undesirable symptoms or emotions regardless of our logical conscious objections or attempts.

NLP uses subconscious communication to bypass conscious barriers.
It is not uncommon for clients to naturally drop in to a light state of trance/hypnosis when working with NLP techniques, however if you are not comfortable doing this then your mind will naturally not allow it to happen.
